Felony Expungements: Complete Record Cleared
In 2024, secured two felony expungements for a single client. Persuaded the judge not to grant the prosecutor’s request for an adjournment, resulting in the client leaving court with a completely clean criminal record.

$100,000 Insurance Settlement in 30 Minutes
Obtained policy-limit settlement for a hit-and-run victim within thirty minutes of sending a demand email to the insurance adjuster, all without filing a lawsuit.

Driver’s License Restored After Nearly 40 Years

Landlord-Tenant Case Defense: Settled for Under $100
Defended tenant against landlord’s claim for thousands of dollars. Rather than pay the landlord thousands of dollars as demanded, Shaun secured a settlement of less than $100 as to his client in order to close the case.

Shaun defended client sued by a high-profile local politician. Matter settled for zero dollars as to Shaun’s client.

Fraud Claim Against Homeowner: Voluntary Dismissal
Achieved a voluntary dismissal of a lawsuit accusing Shaun's client of fraud in connection with the sale of property.

Michigan Department of Transportation Real Estate Permit Denial – Circuit Court Remand 
Represented a real estate client in a challenge against an MDOT permit denial. Persuaded circuit court to remand the case after both MDOT and an ALJ upheld the denial.

Non-Compete & Non-Disclosure Agreement Case – Client Business Preserved 
Negotiated favorable settlement in a lawsuit brought by a large company, allowing client to continue operating their small business despite non-compete and NDA claims by larger company.

Multi-State Federal Non-Compete Litigation – Sanctions Avoided 
Took over representation for clients abandoned by prior counsel and who had already been sanctioned by the federal court. Shaun secured settlement and prevented additional sanctions which were pending in federal court.

Acted as attorney on the successful sales of bars/restaurants, including well-known and long-standing establishments on Harsens Island and in Mount Clemens.

Restrictive Covenant Dispute – Quick Settlement
Shaun persuaded an alleged restrictive covenant and right-of-first-refusal holder to relinquish claims that they had a right to acquire the property from Shaun’s client. Achieved a rapid, out-of-court settlement that restored the client’s peace of mind and ensured the property could be sold free of interference.

Eighth Amendment Claims – Defense Victory - Federal Court
Shaun successfully defended Michigan Department of Corrections officers against multiple Eighth Amendment claims brought by prisoners. The prisoners alleged injuries from an auto accident while being transported in an MDOC van, claiming the guard-driver rear-ended another vehicle while allegedly distracted by their cellphone. Shaun secured dismissal of all claims, protecting the officers from liability.
