Shaun successfully defended Michigan Department of Corrections officers against multiple Eighth Amendment claims brought by prisoners. The prisoners alleged injuries from an auto accident while being transported in an MDOC van, claiming the guard-driver rear-ended another vehicle while allegedly distracted by their cellphone. Shaun secured dismissal of all claims, protecting the officers from liability.
